In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects. To oversee the lighting portion of projects, including but not limited to:
- Concept design
- Production of lighting layouts in the form of mark‑ups
- Lighting calculations
- Energy code compliance
- Report preparation
- Presentation materials - renderings and graphic packages
- Fixture schedules and specifications
- Hand sketches
- Develop project cost estimation and recommendation
- Reviewing mock‑ups
Contribute to work winning and market development. Provide deliverables and performance targets that comply with applicable codes and Aurecon standards. Manage projects and tasks of lighting design projects, nurture existing client relationships and proactively pursue opportunities for new business. Provide client consultation by drawing on professional expertise and deep knowledge of Aurecon’s consultancy services.
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re‑imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 8 years related professional experience in the lighting design industry.
- Experience in project bidding, work winning, and client engagement is preferred.
- Ability to work closely with clients and architects to develop high quality lighting solutions, and to quickly gain their trust and respect.
- Ability to manage lighting project scope, design resources, and the client to achieve budget and schedule objectives while meeting key stakeholder critical success factors.
- Strong knowledge of local and international applicable codes and standards; and deep understanding and knowledge of lighting systems and lighting controls.
- Good knowledge of Photoshop, DIALux, AGI32, Photometric Toolbox, and other lighting software.
- Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD; and preferably, Revit.
