Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a dignified and respectful manner.
Reports To:
Clinical Manager, Human Resources Department, or Director (depending on the specific situation or structure).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to clients with domiciliary care needs within their homes, ensuring they receive appropriate care in line with their individual care plans.
- Follow and implement care plans, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of each client are met.
- Assist clients with activities such as personal hygiene, medication administration, mobility support, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of the care provided, ensuring all changes in a client’s condition are documented and communicated to the appropriate team members.
Qualifications:
- A caring and compassionate nature
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
- Care Certificate (or equivalent training) is required
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on client needs
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
- Strong communication skills, both with clients and colleagues
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar setting is preferred, but not essential
Working Conditions:
- Home-based work environment, travelling between clients\’ homes.
- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, depending on client needs.
