The Hospital Co-ordinator is a pivotal senior clinical role at the heart of AURA Veterinary. The Hospital Co-ordinator is the operational head of the hospital on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that clinical workflow, resource allocation and inpatient care come together seamlessly across all areas of the hospital. The post holder must be experienced, confident and clinically credible who can command the respect of the full clinical team, from Veterinary Care Assistants through to our specialists and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity referral environment.

The Hospital Co-ordinator is proactive rather than reactive: they anticipate challenges before they arise, make decisions with authority, and take ownership of the daily operational rhythm of the hospital. The role has three interconnected areas of ownership: Clinical Workflow, Resource Management and Inpatient Stay. Together these form the foundation of what the Hospital Co-ordinator is accountable for each day. They work in close partnership with the Deputy Nursing Manager, the Lead VCA, and the Nursing Manager, and are a critical link between clinical and non-clinical teams across the hospital.

The Hospital Co-ordinator is the go-to person for the operational running of the hospital. Where the Nursing Manager and Deputy Nursing Manager hold people and strategic leadership responsibility, the Hospital Co-ordinator owns the day — ensuring every patient, every team member, and every resource is in the right place at the right time.
