Aura Retrofit is one of the leading energy efficiency and retrofit installers in the South of England. We deliver the full range of domestic energy efficiency measures (heat pumps, solar, insulation, boilers), with ambitious plans for growth. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heating Installations Engineer to join our growing field operations team. This role is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of domestic heating systems, including gas boilers as well as low-carbon technologies such as air source heat pumps. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in safety, quality, compliance, and customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, test, commission, and maintain domestic heating systems
- Carry out Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations where qualified
- Complete rigorous testing, certification, and reporting
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and deliver works with minimal disruption
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles where applicable
- Comply with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience with heating installation in occupied domestic environments, with relevant trade qualifications
- Demonstrable apprenticeship/training course to validate experience
- High standards of workmanship and compliance, whilst delivering efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in documentation and certification
- Strong understanding of current legislation, standards, and best practices
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Full UK Driving Licence
ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Apprenticeship NVQ / City & Guilds
- ACS qualifications (Core Gas Safety/ Boilers/ Cookers/ Fires)
- Unvented hot water qualifications/ Water Regs
- BPEC or equivalent in Heat Pump Design/Installation
- OFTEC qualifications
- Manufacturers training courses
