This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical transactional finance experience who wants to join a commercially focused, purpose-led business and develop their finance career over time. You will join a collaborative and supportive environment where accuracy, ownership, continuous improvement and personal development are valued. The role will provide exposure to the financial operations behind a growing portfolio of solar and battery energy storage projects.
The role
As Accounts Assistant, you will support a broad range of transactional finance activities, helping to ensure that supplier invoices, employee expenses, payments, reconciliations and finance queries are processed accurately and on time. This role will suit someone who is comfortable managing a busy workload, takes ownership of their responsibilities and follows tasks and queries through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Completing bank, supplier statement and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate ledger postings and supporting documentation
- Managing activity within the shared finance mailbox
- Ensuring finance queries are acknowledged, progressed and resolved
- Liaising professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding invoices, payments and account queries
- Maintaining payment schedules, trackers and finance records
- Supporting landowner, lease and other scheduled stakeholder payments
- Assisting with monthly drawdown submissions and project-related finance administration
- Providing documentation for audits, due diligence and internal reviews
- Identifying opportunities to improve transactional finance processes
- Supporting the wider finance team as the business and project portfolio continue to grow
What we are looking for:
- Experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, payment processing and reconciliations
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in ledger postings, reconciliations and supporting documentation
- The ability to manage a high volume of finance activity and prioritise effectively
- Experience managing a shared finance mailbox or similar query-led administration
- Ownership of finance tasks from receipt through to completion
- Experience processing supplier invoices, employee expenses, credit notes and payment runs
- Clear and professional communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- The ability to work consistently within structured processes and expected turnaround times
- Experience within construction, property, infrastructure, energy or another project-based or asset-backed environment would be advantageous. Exposure to landowner or lease payments, project drawdowns, audit support or due diligence documentation would also be beneficial.
- You may already be studying towards AAT or be motivated to begin a relevant finance qualification as your career develops.
