Location: Liverpool, L1.

Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with special needs students, providing support on a 1-1 basis, in small groups, and as whole-class support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to special needs students, ensuring their unique learning requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement effective strategies for students with special needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to create a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility if required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members regarding student progress and challenges.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on Primary & special needs support.
  • Familiarity with a variety of special needs conditions and effective strategies for addressing them.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with diverse student needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special education are desirable.
