We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with special needs students, providing support on a 1-1 basis, in small groups, and as whole-class support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to special needs students, ensuring their unique learning requirements are met.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement effective strategies for students with special needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to create a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
- Support students with personal care and mobility if required.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members regarding student progress and challenges.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on Primary & special needs support.
- Familiarity with a variety of special needs conditions and effective strategies for addressing them.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with diverse student needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education are desirable.
