Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant – Ages 5–16

Location: Liverpool, L26

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Full Academic Year (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £100 – £106 per day (DOE)

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting children and young people aged 5 to 16 with a wide range of needs and disabilities. This is a full-time position, running for the full academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role:

  • You will be working closely with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Sensory processing difficulties
  • Communication needs, including non-verbal pupils
  • Physical disabilities

Working under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO, you’ll help provide personalised support, adapt resources, and promote independence and inclusion throughout the school day.
