We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school located in the L4 area of Liverpool. This position is full-time and will involve providing essential support to a pupil with mobility issues, ensuring their seamless integration into all aspects of school life.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobility Support: Assist the student in moving around the school premises, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Personal Care: Provide support with personal care needs, maintaining a respectful and dignified approach at all times.
  • Academic Assistance: Work closely with the classroom teacher to facilitate the student's engagement in academic activities, adapting materials and lessons as necessary.
  • Inclusion: Foster an inclusive environment for the student, promoting participation in social and extracurricular activities.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with the student, school staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by students with mobility issues.
  • Ability to adapt and modify teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of the student.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Duration: This position will run until the end of the academic year.
