AURA Architecture & Interiors is hiring a senior architect or technologist to take ownership of its property developer-led portfolio of clients. Salary £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience. Hybrid, Clapham, London.
The Role
- You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SME developer clients, leading schemes from feasibility through planning, technical design, tender and delivery on site.
- Multi-unit developments and investment schemes up to 20–30 units, alongside private contracts from £250k to over £1m.
- You will run two to four live projects at a time, each with a small team of Part 2, Part 3 or technologist staff, managing programme, fee and quality.
- You will report directly to the Design & Operations Director and play a key role in growing the developer side of the pipeline through repeat instructions and new introductions.
What you'll need
- MUST BE UK-BASED
- RIBA Part 3 qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years' PQE
- Experience leading residential projects, developer-led and private, from feasibility to site
- A track record of long-term relationships with repeat SME developer clients
- Confident in AutoCAD and Revit; SketchUp and Adobe Suite useful
- Working knowledge of planning and Building Control legislation, and the legal, financial and time constraints of developer-led work
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff and representing the practice at client and consultant events
