Aulds Bakeries is a long-standing, family‑run business producing high‑quality, day‑fresh bakery products at our Greenock site.
We’re committed to delivering excellence across the central belt of Scotland and to help us maintain our production standards, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, where you’ll play a key part in maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of equipment and systems that keep our bakery running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to machinery breakdowns.
- Diagnosing and resolving faults on electrical and mechanical production equipment.
- Developing and executing service schedules to maximise uptime and efficiency.
- Supporting the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
- Maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and control systems.
- Coordinating with external contractors as needed for repair and project support.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and detailed maintenance records.
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations in engineering operations.
- Working alongside contractors and the wider engineering team.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree, diploma, 18 th edition or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong hands‑on experience in electrical fault finding, repair and maintenance.
- Confident working with PLC systems, control panels, motors and automation equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Background in food production, manufacturing or another fast‑paced environment.
- Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic and compressed air systems.
- Attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- A can‑do attitude with a hands‑on, team‑focused approach.
