Dreamlab is a hospitality development company building a pipeline of 17+ new sites across the UK and US over the next 18 months. We create and operate restaurants, bars and multi-concept venues, from neighbourhood rotisseries to Michelin‑level dining. We are hiring a Junior Architect to join our in‑house design and architecture team. You will work directly with our interior designer and Creative Director of Design, translating approved visual concepts into practical, buildable spaces. This is a broad and fast‑moving role across a large pipeline – no two projects are the same.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop floor plans and spatial layouts from approved interior design concepts, working closely with the interior designer throughout.
  • Produce full technical drawing packages, elevations, sections, coordination, builder drawings, furniture drawings and compliance documentation.
  • Apply branding and design elements to technical drawings in collaboration with the brand team.
  • Manage the architectural delivery of multiple projects simultaneously across the UK pipeline.
  • Liaise with contractors, specialist consultants and project managers during the build phase.
  • Attend site visits and oversee the install of finishes against the FF&E schedule.
  • Support snagging and handover processes through to opening.
  • Work within defined timelines and budgets, flagging risks early.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Part II or Part III qualified architect, or working towards RIBA qualification.
  • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, retail or high‑end residential interiors. You understand how designed spaces are actually built.
  • Strong technical drawing skills, confident producing full packages in AutoCAD or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working on multiple live projects at pace and adapting quickly when briefs evolve.
  • Detail‑oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You can hold the practical and the aesthetic at the same time.
  • Experience working directly with interior designers and contractors, not just in isolation.
  • Excellent communication; clear, direct, and responsive.
  • Revit, Vectorworks or SketchUp experience alongside AutoCAD.

USEFUL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience in listed buildings, basement works or complex planning environments.
  • Familiarity with US building codes and permitting processes.
  • An eye for design; you understand what makes a room work as well as what makes it feel right.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience.
  • A genuinely varied pipeline; you will work across new builds, refurbishments, listed buildings and multi‑concept sites from day one.
  • Direct exposure to the full process, from approved concept through to opening night.
  • A small, senior team; you will have real responsibility and real influence over the work.
  • London‑based with no travel requirement.
