We are seeking an experienced Website Content & E‐commerce Merchandising Manager to take ownership of on‐site content publishing and merchandising across our e‐commerce platforms. This role sits at the intersection of content, merchandising, and technical execution, working closely with E‐commerce, Brand, Marketing, and Customer Services teams to deliver high‐quality, commercially effective web experiences.
The ideal candidate will have hands‐on experience managing content on websites, strong e‐commerce merchandising expertise, and confidence working with platforms such as Magento and/or Shopify. You will also play a key role in leading and delivering content migration to a new platform.
Key Responsibilities- Publish, update, and maintain website content including product pages, category pages, homepage, promotional landing pages, and blog posts.
- Work closely with Brand and Marketing teams to deliver engaging, on‐brand web pages that support commercial and campaign objectives.
- Proactively manage ongoing homepage and site adjustments and seasonal updates.
- Ensure content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with SEO and UX best practices.
- Prepare, resize, and optimise imagery for web use using Photoshop or similar tools.
- Manage external translation services to gather translations.
- Act as the lead for coordination and delivery of content migration to a new platform, ensuring quality checks on the new system.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot issues and ensure a smooth transition.
- Manage on‐site merchandising across categories, including product ordering, prioritisation, and presentation.
- Maintain and support promotional activity such as gift‐with‐purchase, discounts, promotional banners, and double loyalty points.
- Monitor merchandising performance and make adjustments to improve conversion and customer experience.
- Work closely with the E‐commerce team to align content and merchandising with trading priorities.
- Partner with Customer Services to support promotion‐related queries and investigate issues when promotions or site functionality do not work as expected.
- Brief stylistic website changes to the eCommerce Project Manager and Development team.
- Act as a subject matter expert for on‐site content and promotions, providing clear explanations and solutions.
- Proven experience working with website content publishing in an e‐commerce environment.
- Hands‐on experience managing and merchandising products on websites.
- Previous experience working with CMS and e‐commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of how content and merchandising drive online performance.
- Experience using image‐editing tools such as Photoshop, including resizing and optimising images for web.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
- Experience with Magento and/or Shopify.
- Experience supporting or leading website content migrations.
- Familiarity with promotional mechanics and loyalty schemes in e‐commerce.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or other web technologies.
- Proactive and confident taking ownership of projects.
- Comfortable leading initiatives and making decisions.
- Highly organised with strong communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders.
