About Us

We are a well-established, family-owned importer and distributor of premium food and drink products, proudly supporting independent retailers across the UK. With decades of knowledge in the fine food industry, we have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and exceptional customer service. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our close-knit team and contribute to our ongoing success.

The Role

We are seeking a dependable and capable Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Rochester. You may already be working in a supervisory position or be a strong warehouse team member who is ready to take the next step. A formal supervisory background is not essential—we are keen to speak with applicants who know how a busy warehouse operates, have the right attitude and credentials, and can confidently guide and support others. This is a hands-on position combining responsibility for coordinating the warehouse team with involvement in the day-to-day operation. The successful candidate will help ensure that all warehouse activities are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team, organising daily workloads and ensuring shift priorities are achieved.
  • Monitor productivity, order accuracy and operational standards while identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and competently when required.
  • Pick, pack and palletise customer orders accurately, loading goods securely into vans for delivery.
  • Check incoming deliveries carefully against the relevant paperwork.
  • Carry out stock rotation and stocktaking to support accurate inventory control.
  • Undertake all manual-handling duties safely and follow company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A solid background working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proven ability to operate a counterbalance forklift safely and competently—this is essential.
  • The confidence to guide, motivate and support colleagues, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to carry out the manual-handling requirements of the role safely.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a busy environment.
  • A reliable and punctual approach, with the ability to work the stated early-shift hours.
  • The right to work in the UK.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £32,000–£38,000, depending on skills and background.
  • Permanant, full-time employment with consistent Monday-to-Friday working hours.
  • Opportunities to work overtime.
  • Holiday Reward Scheme and workplace pension scheme.
  • A responsible and varied role with scope to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the success of our warehouse operation.
  • A friendly, supportive and close-knit working environment.
