Company Overview
August is a full-service real estate development and lifestyle company based in London, United Kingdom, specialising in luxury holiday home collections across Europe. We carefully curate and manage collections of beautifully designed homes in prime destinations, combining real estate, hospitality, and design to provide our members with a seamless second-home experience. Each August project is unique, rooted in a strong European heritage that celebrates the local architecture, natural environment, and traditions of each of our local markets. Our private collections offer exceptional service and a lifestyle focused on family, culture, and comfort. Founded in 2018, August has grown to become a premier platform for luxury holiday homes, delivering distinctive experiences and memorable stays for our members.
About August One
August One is our most ambitious product: an EUR 80m portfolio of four homes across Europe's most coveted destinations, designed for a small group of like-minded homeowners who want seamless access to all of them. This is not a property product. It is a hospitality membership: a seamlessly curated life, built around some of Europe's most beautiful homes, world-class concierge, private access to the finest events and brands, and a service standard that is comparable to the best hotels in the world, except it feels like home. The challenge is not reaching the right people. It is persuading them that shared ownership is not a compromise, it is an upgrade.
Why this role, and why now
We are appointing the Relationship Director for August One as the product moves from concept to market. This is a founding commercial role with a clear goal: eight shares closed by the end of 2027. You will not inherit a pipeline or a playbook. You will build both, working closely with August's leadership, our brand partners, and a carefully selected network of agents, private offices, and family offices across the UK, Europe, Switzerland, Monaco, and the US. We need someone with genuine entrepreneurial instinct. Someone who can walk into a room with nothing but conviction and the August story, and walk out with a relationship that leads to a signed share. But equally, someone who thrives as part of a team, collaborating with our marketing, design, events, and leadership teams to create the experiences and collateral that make August One irresistible.
The role
As Relationship Director, you will own the full commercial journey for August One, from first introduction to signed share agreement. You will be the face of the product: hosting private conversations, conducting immersive property previews, and building the kind of trust that leads to commitments at this level. The buyer profiles are specific: globally mobile individuals and families with significant wealth, who either own multiple homes and are exhausted by managing them, or who value flexibility and quality above permanence. They are fiercely discerning, and they respond to authenticity, taste, and a genuine understanding of how they want to live. You will work across four sourcing channels: agent and private office networks, brand partnership events, and targeted digital and PR, building warm introductions that develop into deep, trusted relationships over months.
What You Will Own
- Relationship building and conversion: Build and manage a prospect pipeline from scratch, converting warm introductions into committed homeowners. Conduct one-to-one private conversations with prospects, introducing the One Collection as the answer to their current ownership challenges. Host immersive property previews at August homes, curated lifestyle itineraries that show the seamless service proposition in action. Guide prospects through to commitment: legal briefings presented through the client's own advisers, culminating in a final dinner with August's founding team. Manage the full sales journey with patience and care; these are relationships that take months, never a hard sell.
- Network development: Build relationships with top-tier agents and private offices, the kind of firms whose clients already live this way, across the UK, Europe, and the US. Develop a curated family office network across UK, Switzerland, Monaco, UAE, and the US: warm introductions only, positioning August One as lifestyle infrastructure. Cultivate referral relationships with wealth managers, private bankers, and lifestyle concierges who serve the UHNW community.
- Brand partnerships and events: Work with August's events and partnerships team to activate brand collaborations: think superyacht launches, private jewellery evenings, Michelin-starred dinners, experiences that put August in front of the right people in the right way. Co-host experiences that bring pre-screened UHNW prospects into the August world in a natural, un-salesy way. Represent August One at select industry events, art fairs, and cultural moments where the right audiences gather.
- Collaboration with HQ: Work hand-in-hand with August's marketing team on digital strategy, content, and prospect intelligence — including targeted social, editorial placements, and private CRM sequences. Brief the design and creative team on brand collateral needs, photography, film, print, and digital assets that tell the One story. Contribute to the broader August commercial team's learning, sharing insight and best practice across all collections. Report regularly to leadership on pipeline progress, prospect feedback, and market intelligence.
Skills And Experience
This role sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship and hospitality. Essential:
- Significant experience in UHNW relationship management: private banking, family offices, luxury real estate, superyacht brokerage, or premium hospitality at the highest level.
- A genuine entrepreneur's instinct: comfortable building a pipeline from a standing start, creating your own opportunities, and thriving without a rigid playbook.
- An established network within the UHNW community across at least two of: UK, Switzerland, Monaco, US, UAE.
- Polished, credible, and warm. You are as comfortable at a Michelin dinner as you are on a vineyard tour or a yacht in Monaco.
- A storyteller. You can articulate what makes August One different, not through a pitch, but through conviction and lived understanding.
- Fluent English.
- Willing to travel significantly across Europe for previews, events, and relationship building.
Desirable:
- Additional European languages.
