We’re looking for a strategic and service-driven Acquisition Manager to lead how August sources and secures luxury properties across the French and Spanish markets. In this role, you will shape how we expand our exclusive property collections, ensuring each acquisition aligns with August’s commitment to excellence and quality.
As part of the Acquisition team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead property sourcing and acquisition across both the UK and continental Europe, with regular travel to France and Spain.
- Focus on high-end homes in key markets: Paris, the South of France, and the French Alps, as well as Mallorca and Barcelona in Spain.
- Work with precision and expertise to build thoughtfully curated collections that reflect August’s high standards.
- Negotiate, understand risk and present your findings.

As part of the Acquisition team, the primary responsibilities as the Acquisition Manager for the French & Spanish Markets include:
- Develop & Maintain relationships with key Real Estate agents, developers and property professionals across all French & Spain markets.
- Continually review the supply of potential homes, shortlisting leads and reviewing feasibility.
- Develop local knowledge and identify areas that present wise investment opportunities.
- Market research for new market entry as needed.
- Gather and share market intelligence.
- Arranging & undertaking viewing trips - authoring reports and managing the Acquisition database.
- Review and evolve search criteria by market.
- Recognise potential! See past the current state of a property and recognise what could become an August home.
- Partner with the RE Renovation & Design teams to review feasibility and forecast costs.
- Produce board approval presentations for purchase approval.
- Firmly negotiate purchase prices, commissions and completion programmes to get properties live to customers without delay.
- Deal administration including referencing, surveys, legal requirements etc.
- Collaborate with the RE Renovation team to undertake due diligence and surveys ahead of completing a transaction.
- Support the Renovation & Legal team as required.
- An ability to execute immediate deliverables, whilst in parallel seeking ways to scale, establish processes and play data and lessons learnt back into the process.
About You – we’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 2+ years experience of working in the Real Estate Industry - preferably in an agency/acquisitions / house-hunter role.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a professional manner.
- Perfect command of spoken & written English along with French and/or Spanish.
- Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
- A keen interest in property & design - able to recognise potential and think creatively.
- Commercial acumen and a skilled negotiator.
- A flexible, can-do attitude.
- The ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum. Bonus: up to £10,000 depending on the number of properties successfully secured. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with 3 days working from the office. Location: Based in Bloomsbury Central London (with regular travel to France and Spain). Pension: Company pension scheme.
