An excellent opportunity has arisen for a recently qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with 2-3 years PQE to join a growing group of companies as a Group Accountant. This is a hands-on, development-focused role that offers exposure to group-level reporting, financial analysis, and strategic support, ideal for someone looking to build a well-rounded finance career.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Group CFO, you’ll play a key part in the production of financial reports, supporting decision-making across multiple entities, and driving improvements in financial systems and controls.

Key responsibilities:
  • Preparation and consolidation of group financial and management accounts
  • Monthly reporting, forecasting, and trend analysis
  • Cash flow management and reporting
  • Supporting budgeting and planning processes across group companies
  • Liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Supporting IT and finance system improvements
  • Identifying process enhancements and cost-efficiency opportunities
  • Providing insights and financial information to senior leadership
  • Oversight of financial controls leading junior team members

This role would suit a recently qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) looking to step into a group-level role with variety, responsibility, and the chance to contribute beyond the numbers.

You’ll bring:
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally including IFRS
  • High-level Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to work independently and suggest improvements
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present financial data clearly
  • Some prior experience leading or mentoring a team
  • Knowledge of contract or project-based accounting (desirable but not essential)
