Overview

Hello there. We’re Zopa. We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward.

We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It’s not just industry awards we’re winning, we’ve also been named in the top three UK’s Most Loved Workplaces.

If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you’ll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count.

Role and Tribes

At Zopa, analysts are the people who inspire ideas and strategies to drive our business forward and make our products better for customers. Our analysts are a mix of creative problem solvers and number whizzes with a passion for translating numbers into business opportunities and delivering insights to support decision-making. They are also strong communicators, able to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Our analysts are embedded in the business and work closely with teams across Product, Engineering and the wider organisation.

We are currently looking for Product Analysts (level 10) to join our UPL, Payments, CRM and Mobile App product tribes. Your role is to be the key person generating the insight that helps us to make data-driven decisions to improve our product.

Tribe Focus Areas

  • Unsecured Personal Loans (UPL) Tribe (Established / Optimisation & Growth) - Focused on accelerating growth in a well-established, high-performing product. The role centres on optimising the lending funnel, improving conversion and balancing trade-offs across risk and commercial performance.
  • CRM (Evolving / High Impact) - We’re investing in CRM analytics to help us move from campaign-led execution to a more customer-led strategy. This role will play a key part in shaping how we target audiences, measure performance, and understand the true value of our communications.
  • Mobile App Tribe (Platform Ownership / Growth & Commercial Impact) - The mobile app is how customers experience Zopa, from onboarding to managing their money and discovering new products. This role owns the app as a horizontal platform, while also being accountable for key commercial outcomes such as in-app conversion and product adoption.

A day in the life

  • Support Product, Engineering and other stakeholders with analysis to inform product decisions
  • Work with existing metrics and support improvements to how we measure product performance
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends and highlight areas for further investigation
  • Break down problems into clear analytical approaches, with guidance where needed
  • Support the design and analysis of experiments to test product changes
  • Build dashboards and reports to track performance and enable decision-making
  • Deliver deep-dives and ad hoc analysis to answer business questions
  • Communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Contribute to analytical projects, taking ownership of defined pieces of work

About You

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker or Power BI; Python is a bonus
  • Experience in a data-led environment such as fintech, banking, consulting or a high-growth start-up
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable turning data into clear, actionable insight
  • Able to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willing to ask questions, seek feedback and continuously improve
  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Please note - no candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you!
