Help make thoughtful, dependable mental healthcare easier to access.
Augmentive was founded to make finding and accessing the right mental health support easier.
We’re bringing together a world-class team to support leading clinicians with technology built into care delivery. By developing our technology and care model together, we aim to make care faster to access, more effective and less costly to deliver.
We’ve already helped thousands of people across the UK access support, with exceptional patient feedback. We’re growing quickly and building our team to bring that care to many more people.
The role
We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Operations with strong technical skills, advanced AI fluency and the ability to bring people together.
This is a key role with a clear purpose: keep our care timely, high-quality and cost-efficient as patient numbers grow substantially.
You’ll connect our technology, processes and teams, working closely with the CEO, Product team and clinical leaders. You’ll identify what needs improving, choose practical solutions and stay involved until they work in everyday use. This will be a challenging role and therefore requires a high degree of skill, initiative and commitment.
In this role, you’ll:
- Find and fix the right problems. Use data and time with colleagues to understand delays, repetitive work and gaps in the patient journey. Prioritise changes that make the greatest difference.
- Make technology work for the service. Improve workflows, connect systems and apply automation and AI thoughtfully. Deliver solutions yourself where practical, partnering with Engineering where needed.
- Maintain excellent performance as we grow. Plan for demand, staffing and capacity. Track waiting times, patient experience and costs, and work with clinical leaders to improve efficiency while protecting care quality.
- Make improvements last. Lead projects from diagnosis through to adoption. Set clear priorities, involve the people doing the work, complete the necessary reviews and measure results.
You’ll also contribute to wider operational planning, supplier decisions and budgets, working with Finance and People as the business grows.
What you’ll bring:
- A record of practical delivery. You’ve personally improved operations in a growing organisation and can explain the problem, your contribution and the results.
- Strong technical skills. You’re confident with data, operational systems, APIs, integrations and automation. You can investigate problems and deliver practical solutions yourself.
- Advanced, everyday AI fluency. You already use AI extensively to analyse problems, develop solutions and automate work. You can demonstrate results and exercise sound judgement about accuracy, confidentiality and human review.
- Emotional intelligence and integrity. You understand others’ feelings, needs and motivations, and use that understanding to work thoughtfully with colleagues and improve the experience of patients and practitioners. You act honestly, take responsibility and put shared objectives first.
- Collaboration and follow-through. You build trust across functions, listen carefully and turn different perspectives into practical decisions. You’re organised, reliable and willing to have difficult conversations with care.
- Drive and judgement. You bring energy, ambition and high standards. You simplify complex problems, choose priorities well and take initiative. You’re willing to do the detailed work and develop new skills as the business grows.
Experience improving complex operations in healthtech, fintech or other regulated services would be helpful. You’ll need the curiosity and ability to understand our clinical context deeply, working with the Clinical Director and Head of Clinical Governance.
Working at Augmentive
We’re building our team thoughtfully, choosing people who care about both the work and how they do it. We value respect, honesty, skill, effort and following through on commitments.
You’ll have direct access to the CEO, meaningful responsibility and room to grow, with your contribution visible in the experience of patients and colleagues.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including neurodivergent people. Please let us know if you need any adjustments during recruitment.
