We’re a founder-led team building decision-support software for UK financial advisers. The work blends portfolio management, retirement planning, and workflow automation. We’re looking for a fractional Head of Product to lead strategy-to-MVP for a rules- and model-driven engine, working closely with engineering and design.
What you’ll own (outcomes only)
- A 12-week product plan with milestones and success measures for an adviser-facing decision tool.
- A concise specification pack (business logic narrative, API/data contracts, testable acceptance criteria).
- Advisor UX that explains recommendations clearly and defensibly.
- A demoable MVP with 2–3 representative client scenarios.
- A go/no-go recommendation for the next iteration.
Weekly cadence
- Roadmap/backlog session (1×)
- Design/PR reviews with engineers (1–2×)
- Founder update (1×)
You’ll bring
- 7–10+ years in product leadership (Head of Product / Product Director / CPO).
- Proven delivery of complex B2B SaaS with model- or rules-based engines.
- Excellent written specs and test artefacts; comfortable with data-heavy products.
- UK fintech/wealth experience.
- Knowledge of UK investment wrappers (ISA/SIPP/GIA/ Onshore & Offshore Investment Bonds), CGT harvesting, allowance sequencing.
- Quant/ops research familiarity; Python/SQL literacy for validation.
- Prior work with portfolio management investment systems.
Engagement
~2-3 days/week for 3–6 months.
