We're looking for a Contract Manager to join our Radioactive Waste Services team at the Waste Recovery Park in Port Clarence, Teesside | Radioactive Waste Services (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

As Contract Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customers using our radioactive waste treatment and disposal services. You'll work closely with site operations, finance, and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially, and efficiently.

This role combines customer relationship management, contract administration, commercial oversight, and operational collaboration, offering significant exposure across the business and the opportunity to contribute directly to growth and customer success.

  • Champion and actively support a strong, proactive safety culture.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for radioactive waste service contracts.
  • Manage contracts from initial enquiry through to successful project completion.
  • Lead customer meetings and reviews, predominantly remotely with occasional travel to customer and company sites.
  • Administer contractual requirements, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events where applicable.
  • Develop a strong understanding of site operations through regular presence at the Waste Recovery Park.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure effective communication and the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Support timely waste processing and project close-out in line with KPIs and permit requirements.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, reports, and other customer-facing documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities for future work and account growth.
  • Communicate customer requirements, waste forecasts, and project information accurately to operational teams.
  • Provide customers with regular operational and project updates.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, margins, accruals, and invoicing.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely invoicing.
  • Deliver forecasting and performance updates to senior management.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry forums, and networking events.
  • Ensure compliance with company management systems, regulatory requirements, and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain professional development and industry knowledge.

What We're Looking For

Full UK Driving Licence

HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant STEM discipline

Experience managing customer relationships within a technical, engineering, industrial, environmental, or similarly regulated environment

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong organisational, planning, and commercial awareness

Ability to analyse information and make confident decisions independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Knowledge or experience of ionising radiation
  • Experience within the waste management, environmental, industrial, nuclear, or related sectors
