Are you an experienced operational leader looking for an opportunity to take full ownership of a successful industrial services operation?

We are seeking a Site Manager to lead our Kirkby Industrial Services business, taking responsibility for the safe and profitable delivery of services, customer relationships, operational excellence, and team development.

Reporting directly to the Director of Industrial Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. You'll lead an established management team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of safety, customer service, and commercial performance are maintained.

What You'll Be Doing

Operational Leadership

• Lead the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of industrial services operations.
• Ensure work is effectively planned, resourced, and delivered to customer expectations, timescales, and budget.
• Drive operational and HSEQ performance through KPI management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee fleet, plant, and equipment utilisation, maintenance, and replacement planning.
• Lead audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action programmes.
• Ensure all risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work are implemented and followed.
• Support the safe mobilisation of new contracts and projects.
• Lead and develop a high-performing management team including operational and transport leadership.
• Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor, and develop managers to maximise individual and team performance.
• Work closely with HR on recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, training, and employee development.

Customer & Commercial Management

• Build strong relationships with customers and maintain the company's reputation for delivering safe and reliable services.
• Take ownership of key customer relationships, service delivery, and escalations.
• Work closely with Commercial teams to support growth opportunities, pricing strategies, contract renewals, and service improvements.
• Regularly visit customer sites to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Take ownership of the site's P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and EBITDA delivery.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and control operational costs, including labour, fleet, equipment, and subcontractor expenditure.
• Ensure accurate job costing, purchase order management, invoicing, and debt recovery support.

About You

• Proven experience managing operations within industrial services, waste management, logistics, utilities, engineering, environmental services, or a similar sector
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams
• Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budget and P&L responsibility
• A strong understanding of HSEQ legislation, compliance, and operational best practice
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills
• The confidence to make decisions, solve problems, and lead through change
• Experience of managing operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement
