Audley is hiring a Junior Advisor to join our advisory team in London. This is an early-career role for someone who wants to learn how thoughtful advisory work is done: how to understand a complex brief, identify what matters, write clearly, prepare properly, and help senior colleagues deliver excellent work for Audley’s clients. We’re looking for someone with the potential to become a trusted advisor who can own key client relationships and support Audley’s growth.
Audley advises leaders, businesses and organisations on high-stakes leadership, reputation, communications and strategy challenges. We work where judgement, discretion, and clarity matter.
As a Junior Advisor, you will help keep client work sharp, organised, and well-informed. You will also play a part in contributing to the growth of Audley Intelligence, our content stream covering business, politics, and global affairs.
What you will do:
- Research business, reputational, leadership, communications, cultural, and current affairs issues relevant to clients and prospects;
- Draft first versions of briefing notes, strategic documents, thought leadership, social content, emails, letters and other materials;
- Turn research into strategic prompts for colleagues;
- Support client accounts and workstreams through preparation, follow-up, action tracking, and attention to detail;
- Help prepare for meetings, presentations and important client interactions;
- Contribute to Audley Intelligence through ideas, drafting, research and content support;
- Work to continuously improve their writing, research, communications, and management skills.
What we are looking for:
- Someone who writes clearly and accurately;
- Is curious about business, leadership, reputation, communications, culture, and current affairs;
- Enjoys research and can summarise what matters;
- Cares about detail, delivery and impact;
- Is organised, responsive, and reliable;
- Asks sensible questions and uses feedback well;
- Is discreet, warm and professional;
- Wants to learn quickly in a small, high-performing team.
Essential experience:
- Familiarity with producing clear, structured written work.
- Understanding of key research methods relating to topics in business, political, or global affairs issues.
- Proficiency in standard workplace tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email).
Desirable experience:
- Internship or work experience in consulting, strategic communications, public affairs, journalism, policy, or a related field.
- Exposure to client-facing work or supporting senior stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to publications or platforms, e.g. blogs, magazines, newspapers, podcasts.
Why this role matters:
Junior Advisors are an important part of how Audley delivers excellent work. They help the team stay close to the detail, turn information into useful insight and make sure client work is prepared, polished, and delivered properly. This is a strong first step for someone who wants to build a serious advisory career, by learning through hands-on client work with experienced advisors.
Salary: £29,000-£34,000, depending on experience.
