The Opportunity
As the Audience Lead, you will be responsible for turning what Audley knows about its clients into actionable audiences that enable more relevant, effective and personalised marketing. Drawing on client insight, behavioural data and commercial priorities, you will develop the audiences, rules and frameworks that enable effective targeting, personalisation and customer experience delivery.
Working across insight, analytics, marketing and data teams, you will translate understanding into action, ensuring audience strategies can be activated through campaigns, channels and customer journeys. You will own audience governance, client tiering and audience definitions, while helping shape the data required to support marketing activity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and evolve Audley's audience strategy, taxonomy and governance framework.
- Define the audiences, rules and frameworks used to identify, prioritise and engage clients throughout their lifecycle.
- Translate client insight, behavioural data and commercial priorities into actionable marketing audiences.
- Partner with marketing teams to embed audience-led decision making into campaigns, journeys and customer experiences.
- Ensure marketing teams have access to trusted, usable audience definitions and data that support effective execution.
- Monitor and evaluate audience performance, identifying opportunities to improve targeting, personalisation and engagement.
- Refine audiences and audience frameworks to improve marketing effectiveness, client experience and commercial outcomes.
- Define marketing requirements for audience, behavioural and digital data capture.
- Act as the primary marketing interface for audience and customer data requirements with data and technology teams.
- Continuously improve how audience data is created, managed and supplied to marketing teams.
- Work closely with your direct reports to understand their strengths and weaknesses & create individual development plans to guide their growth.
- Hold regular developmental catchups sessions so that all reports are clear on developmental priorities and the support on offer.
- Manage, coach and develop your direct reports to ensure high performance, productivity and engagement.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development conversations, identifying training needs and growth opportunities.

Additional experience required
- Experience developing and managing marketing audiences, segmentation frameworks or targeting strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with large customer and behavioural data sets.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or a comparable CRM, CDP or marketing automation platform.
- Strong understanding of audience-led marketing, personalisation and customer lifecycle management.
- Ability to translate client insight, business priorities and data into practical marketing solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across marketing, insight, data and technology teams.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving better processes, capabilities and outcomes.
