As the Cruise Marketing Manager, you will be working closely with the Marketing leadership team and Global Cruise Manager; this role will be responsible for the creation and execution of the cruise marketing strategy in both the UK and US markets. The salary for this role is circa £50,000. This broad role requires an experienced online and offline Marketing Manager who relishes the challenge of rapidly growing the cruise arm of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Global Cruise Manager to understand cruise proposition and product offering
- Understanding growth plan for cruise and building out marketing plan to achieve stated year-on-year growth
- Managing relationships with key cruise suppliers, acquiring funds and allocating to appropriate marketing activities
- Managing budgets associated with cruise through budget tracking and forecasting, providing regular updates
- Working closely with our Head of Loyalty and Acquisition to increase cruise product consumption amongst repeat client cohort
- Working closely with Trade Sales Manager to drive growth via B2C channel
- Providing reports on marketing KPIs, driving the most cost effective acquisition routes and understanding important metrics like cost per acquisition
- Proactively explore industry trends and keep up to date with external factors and Audley’s competitors
- Working with Marketing leadership team and key channel owners to create marketing plans including but not limited to:
- Content requirements (including SEO opportunities)
- Cruise branding and visual identity (proposition, look and feel)
- Comms plans (lifecycle and email newsletters, direct mail)
- Social media and PR
- Trade marketing
- Events and exhibitions
- Advertising
About you
You will have experience creating comprehensive marketing plans that drive growth and align with business objectives. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively work with individual leaders, channel owners, and the Global Cruise Manager, as well as the ability to serve as a conduit between different teams.
Additional experience required:
- Demonstrable experience in a marketing role, preference for knowledge of a broad range of marketing disciplines versus single area of specialism
- Proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns and driving results
- Knowledge of UK/US Cruise and or travel market and consumer preferences
- Strong numeracy skills and experience of budget management and setting, tracking and reporting on marketing KPIs
- Pro-active and able to take own initiative
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Highly organised, project management experience would be beneficial
- A confident, positive and outgoing person with natural enthusiasm and the ability to be assertive when required
- A customer-centric approach to marketing strategies
- Data driven, suggests ideas backed by sound data and reasoning
- Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
