The role
This role is responsible for supporting the People Development team by designing and developing digital training content which will be used in Audley’s industry leading, global employee onboarding programme. The Digital Learning Designer will play a key role in helping Audley digitise its existing successful onboarding programme, to move it from mainly being delivered in-person, to a digitised blended modular programme. This role will ensure onboarding learner progress is measured, company growth is supported and new hires will receive the best possible onboarding experience, helping them to perform at their best. This role will review current onboarding content and produce high quality, engaging digital training material (using Synthesia and Stornaway tools) that will be distributed globally. Implementing learner assessments, and understanding the impact that this data will have on the business and how it will be used is an important aspect of this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for creating engaging and interactive content using multimedia tools.
- Photography & Video production including scriptwriting, storyboarding, camera operation, shoot coordination and editing for end result.
- Introducing new digital systems into the Audley onboarding that can be globally distributed.
- Apply instructional design principles to achieve agreed learning goals including testing, piloting and reviewing for all digital learning produced.
- Collaborate with our e-Learning lead & People Development Partners to identify current materials that can be developed or redesigned into interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Work with our business stakeholders and 3rd party providers to ensure all systems are aligned and all platforms are connected for the best learner experience.
- Build positive relationships with SMEs to help ensure all content is up to date and meets the needs of the business.
- Fully responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment including storage, usage and reporting of issues.
- Responsible for maintaining the business-approved systems overseen, ensuring they are up-to-date, functional, and compliant with Audley Travel’s standards, values and practices.
- Coach the People Development Partners through the roll out of new technology and how best to utilise the newly acquired data.
What we are looking for
You will have proven experience of working within project plans to deliver digital training content creation for all aspects of the training cycle; including design, development, delivery and implementation, and accompanying learner assessments. Ability to create dynamic and successful digital training for onboarding programmes, which cover internal systems and sales training programmes, that engage new hires and are effective in delivering results.
Additional experience:
- Experience of working with digital systems such as Synthesia, Stornaway, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but happy to consider applicants with similar technologies.
- Experienced driver of AI initiatives within the L&D sector.
- Understands the importance of the person and their experience of learning in the digital world.
- Has demonstrable experience of implementing and integrating new systems and technology, with strong project management skills and an eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.
- A confident and credible communicator (written, verbal and non-verbal), with the ability to adapt communication style according to different people’s preferences and when communicating complex processes.
- A good listener who seeks to understand and can be curious and adaptable & agile in their approach to work.
