The role
As the Digital Solutions Architect at Audley Travel, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level robust, scalable solutions that enhance our client-facing digital touchpoints. Your role will ensure that all external digital interactions with clients are seamless, innovative, and aligned with our business objectives. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to create optimal solutions, ensuring Audley delivers exceptional digital client experiences through the use of scalable and robust technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Solution Design: Develop high-level application and integration solution designs and work packages for projects. Collaborate with internal and external design, development, and engineering teams.
- Design Reviews: Conduct regular design review sessions within projects to ensure technical/low-level design and delivery align with solution designs.
- Client-Focused Architecture: Create and maintain architectural policies, patterns, and standards that specifically enhance client interactions.
- Innovation: Identify and implement innovative technologies and practices to improve client engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work with wider technology, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to understand client needs, ensuring that they translate to requirements that are fulfilled within solutions.
- Catalog Maintenance: Maintain Architecture Building Blocks and catalogs related to applications and integrations.
- Risk Management: Identify and raise appropriate risks, maintain a technical debt register, and ensure regular reviews by the Technical Design Authority (TDA).
- Vendor Management: Assist with technical due diligence for new technology contracts and review existing supplier offerings to align with Audley\’s strategic roadmaps.
What we’re looking for
You will have a strong background in application and solution design for client-facing services along with a proven track record of delivery, along with proven experience in modern cloud-first application architecture and integration patterns focused on client interactions.
Additional experience:
- Experience with a variety of client-facing application domains such as CMS, digital self-service, digital communication, mobile applications, and Marketing Automation.
- Ability to translate business requirements and processes into effective solution designs.
- Technical background in the Microsoft Azure technology stack, Sitecore, or Salesforce.
- Stakeholder management and influencing with all levels from C-suite minus 1 level to operators.
- Commercial understanding and a track record of driving business innovation through technology.
- In-depth knowledge of security by design principles and patterns.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends focused on enhancing client experiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Pragmatic and collaborative, able to balance strategic goals with tactical decisions when necessary.
