The Customer Services Assistant in our Food and Beverage team will be based at our Mayfield retirement village in Watford. Mayfield Watford is part of a buzzing residential neighbourhood which includes facilities such as a shop, food and beverage outlet, leisure club and a beautiful riverside park.
Mayfield villages comprises of owners, who permanently reside on site within their own private homes and who pay a management fee for the upkeep of their properties and access to services on site. In addition the village hosts external customers and this role is responsible for providing a first class, positive experience for all.
The Role

As our Customer Services Assistant in our Food and Beverage outlets, you’ll ensure that Mayfield owners and External Customers have the highest quality of service and experience. Thanks to you, owners and the guests who come to enjoy the food at our \’M Bar & Kitchen\’ will get a warm welcome and a smooth, seamless service.
Whether you’re taking reservations, seating guests, advising on the menu, serving afternoon tea, promoting the village and our luxury spa, or sharing a joke with regulars, you’ll deliver an exceptional service. You’ll also help service our guest suites, answer owners’ enquiries, keep an eye on stock levels, help set up for special events, and keep everywhere looking scrupulously clean.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience of working in a customer facing role.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills to ensure the customer receive the highest quality of service and customer engagement is high.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and an organised approach that ensures things get done.
- Ability to hold conversations, being attentive to the needs of our customers whilst spotting opportunities to upsell
- Strong team worker.
- Ability to deal with queries in an efficient and diplomatic way.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and driven by standards and sales opportunities.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and produce creative solutions
- Accurate cash handling skills.
- Hands on and flexible approach in order to be able to carry out a variety of tasks inline with the needs of the village.
