Job Description
The Role:
Whether you’re helping to create a traditional Sunday lunch, presenting our popular afternoon tea or helping to prepare dishes for one of our themed nights, as our Commis Chef you’ll deliver food that keeps our customers coming back for more.
With a newly created menu for each season, the menu is modern yet full of classical English charm. The elegant décor and relaxed atmosphere make the perfect setting for a unique and special dining experience.
The Commis Chef will work closely with the rest of the team to produce consistently outstanding food during service. You’ll be required to prepare ingredients, organise deliveries, assist with stock ordering and stock rotation, making sure the kitchen is always clean and supporting the senior members of team. Learning and development is a huge aspect of this role and you will be a vital member of this small, talented team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Food health and hygiene knowledge.
- Experience with stock ordering and food deliveries.
- Knowledge of stock control.
- Preparing vegetables and meats.
- Cleaning stations.
- Positive attitude and tolerant nature.
- Flexible approach to daily duties and shift patterns.
- Ability to work under pressure.
