Role Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Property Solicitor to handle a varied caseload of residential and commercial property transactions. You will handle day-to-day tasks such as managing conveyancing transactions, advising clients on commercial real estate matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders. This is a full-time on-site role located in Esher.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of residential and/or commercial property matters from instruction to completion
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, transfers, and other property-related documents
- Conduct title checks, searches, and due diligence
- Handle sales, purchases, re-mortgages, lease extensions, and landlord & tenant matters
- Advise clients on legal aspects of property transactions, risk, and compliance
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and quality standards
- Keep up to date with legal developments and changes in property law
- Contribute to business development and client retention initiatives
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- 2+ years PQE in property law
- Strong experience in residential and commercial conveyancing
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
- High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficiency in using legal case management systems such as Clio and Microsoft Office
- Experience with complex property transactions
- Existing client following or networking abilities
