# Domestic AssistantBira Care HomesCefn LodgePart time · 23£12.81 per hour## About the role## About the roleYou'll keep the care home maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene — creating a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors.## What you'll do* Clean residents' rooms and communal areas to a high standard, always respecting residents' privacy, preferences and dignity.* Support a homely, respectful and welcoming environment.* Follow cleaning schedules, COSHH regulations and infection control protocols, using cleaning products and equipment safely and in line with training.* Maintain cleanliness across bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms and kitchens, and assist with deep cleaning as part of regular infection control.* Dispose of waste in line with infection control procedures.* Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet residents' needs.* Complete required training including infection control and health & safety, and take part in supervisions and team meetings.## What you'll need* Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control* Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team* A respectful, reliable and compassionate attitude* Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene* Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK### Desirable* Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role* Knowledge of COSHH and infection control in care settings* Experience working in a care home or similar environment## Why Bira* Make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support, every day.* Champion dignity, compassion and choice in every interaction.* Join a culture where care is not just delivered — it's felt.## Apply for this roleTell us about yourself and attach your CV.
