Internal Audit Manager - FTSE 250 in Sheffield

Audit and Risk Recruitment are working with a well-established FTSE 250 real estate organisation to appoint an Internal Audit Manager into their Group Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, this role offers strong exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape a modern, value-adding audit function with a broad remit across financial, operational and compliance activities.

The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of risk-based internal audits, oversee internal controls testing, support operational and compliance reviews, and track remediation of audit findings. The role includes advisory work, ad-hoc investigations and involvement in strengthening the wider risk and control environment, with around 20% travel across the UK and Europe.

This opportunity suits an ACA/ACCA/CIA qualified internal auditor with strong stakeholder management skills, sound judgement and a practical understanding of controls and risk.

Experience in either in-house or professional services environments is welcomed, with exposure to international or multi-site organisations beneficial. Additional European language skills and familiarity with IT controls are advantageous but not essential.
