Audit & Risk Recruitment are exclusively supporting an instantly recognisable brand in the UK as they look to hire an Internal Audit Lead to join their growing audit function. This is a newly created role which will report directly to the Head of Audit. This is an opportunity to join a large and complex business which has gone through a period of change, and as such you will be joining as they implement and adopt a new audit methodology giving you an opportunity to affect real change.

Supporting the Head of Audit you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to promote the work of Internal Audit across the organisation, including new and innovative ways to enhance audit work. Joining a supportive team you will be primarily leading risk based finance focused audits end-to-end (from planning to reporting) and supervising junior members of the team.

To succeed in the role, you will need to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and you will have access to senior leadership across the group from the start. In terms of progression, the audit team has demonstrable examples of people moving into the business over the years and the organisation does well in retaining its top performers.

To be considered you will likely be ACA/ACCA qualified due to the financial aspect of the role and ideally hail from a Big 4/Top 10 practice background and have demonstrable experience conducting internal audit in an in-house environment. If you are currently a manager within internal audit at a Big 4/Top 10 firm you will also be considered. There is minimal travel, and an occasional need to go to London and the firm operate two days a week in their Berkshire office.
