Audit & Risk Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a top 10 UK firm in their search for an experienced and motivated Internal Audit Manager to join its growing Risk Consulting practice focusing on the public and social sector.
About the role
This role offers the opportunity to deliver top-quality internal audit and advisory services to a diverse range of clients across local authorities, central government, local government, housing, education, police and charities. You will manage a portfolio of clients, acting as main point of contact and ensuring timely and quality delivery of audits. In addition to client delivery, you will play a key role in supporting the development of junior members and undertake business development aligned with the growth of the firm.
Key requirements
- Comprehensive internal audit experience in public sector and preferably from professional service background
- Experience developing and monitoring internal audit plans (including annual audit plan) and delegating/resourcing effectively to execute appropriately
- Ability to coach, mentor and support team development with displayable line management experience
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Must hold a relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CMIIA)
