Job Description
Audit & Risk Recruitment are recruiting for an Audit Semi Senior on behalf of our client, a well-established Top 15 accountancy firm, to join their team in their Reading office.
This is a firm with a strong national presence, known for combining deep technical expertise with a people-first culture. They work with a broad range of clients—from fast-growing SMEs to large corporates and not-for-profits—offering exposure, variety, and a clear development pathway.
The Role:
As an Audit Semi-Senior, you’ll be involved in audit assignments from planning to completion. Working closely with Audit Seniors and Managers, you’ll take ownership of fieldwork, liaise with clients, and support the development of junior team members. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills, gain valuable client experience, and work towards qualification in a firm that truly invests in its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in the planning, execution, and completion of audits across a diverse client base
- Conduct audit testing and fieldwork, both remotely and on-site
- Prepare working papers and draft sections of financial statements
- Liaise directly with clients and assist with queries
- Work closely with senior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified with 1–2 years’ audit experience (ideally in practice)
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
