About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to oversee NHS audiology services across multiple clinics. This is primarily a clinic-based role, and presents an excellent opportunity for an established Audiologist looking to take the next step in their career, by combining clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities. In this role, you will continue providing hands-on patient care, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and follow up services, while also acting as a senior clinical point of contact within the service. Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you will mentor and support audiologists and clinical staff, promote best practice, and help maintain high clinical standards across all sites in line with professional guidelines. Working closely with management teams, you will contribute to service development, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the introduction of processes or technologies that enhance patient care and service efficiency. This role is ideal for a confident clinician who is passionate about excellent patient outcomes and supporting the development of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership across multiple clinic sites, acting as a senior point of contact for audiologists and clinical staff. Offer guidance and support clinical decision-making, and promote a consistent, high-quality approach to patient care across all locations.
- Mentor and support the professional development of colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing, and informal supervision. Help embed best practice, encourage continuous learning, and support team members in maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
- Maintain and monitor clinical quality and governance, ensuring services are delivered in line with NHS pathways, professional guidelines, and internal protocols. Support quality assurance activities such clinical audits to help drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver high-quality audiology care, including comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and programming, patient counselling, and ongoing aftercare support, ensuring a positive and patient-centred experience.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation, maintaining clear clinical records in line with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements, and company policies.
- Support service development and operational improvement, working closely with management teams to identify opportunities to enhance clinical pathways, patient outcomes, and service efficiency.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture, encouraging open communication, shared learning, and a strong focus on delivering safe, effective, and patient-focused audiology services.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Audiology or equivalent; HCPC/AHCS registered (or eligible)
- Minimum 3 years’ UK experience as a qualified Audiologist
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Excellent organisational ability and technical proficiency in audiology equipment and software
- Full UK driving licence
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
