Our client is a well-established AV integrator delivering design, installation, and managed solutions across Ireland. They work across corporate, public-sector, and commercial environments and are continuing to grow their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV Installation Engineer to join a busy, growing business delivering high-quality projects nationwide. This field-based role suits a hands-on AV professional with strong installation experience. You will install, commission, and test AV systems across customer sites, working closely with the engineering team to deliver high standards on every project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install AV equipment to a high standard across a range of commercial environments.
  • Install and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms and related AV systems.
  • Install and commission digital signage solutions, including platforms such as NowSignage.
  • Build, dress, and label AV racks to a professional finish.
  • Carry out cabling, containment, and terminations, including HDMI, HDBaseT, Cat6, and audio.
  • Read and work from technical drawings, rack elevations, and system schematics and cable schedules.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools and comfortable work on platforms and ladders.
  • Complete testing, fault-finding, and pre-handover checks on finished installations.
  • Keep accurate daily project records, including time, notes, and materials used.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site contacts on-site, representing the company to a high standard.
  • Work closely with project managers, service teams, and engineers to deliver projects smoothly.
  • Keep up to date with developments in AV technology, manufacturer products, and industry best practice.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional AV installation or integration environment.
  • Proven experience installing and configuring Microsoft Teams Rooms and other VC solutions.
  • Experience installing Digital Signage systems including display mounting, media player setup, and network connection.
  • Competent in AV rack building, cabling, and signal troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively across multiple sites.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality and finish of your installations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills — you will regularly be the face of the business on-site.
  • Full clean Irish driving license (mandatory — a company van is provided).
  • Comfortable with physical installation tasks including working at height, lifting, and general integration work.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AV control systems such as Extron, Crestron, Q-SYS or AMX; programming and commissioning experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with IPTV, video wall, or LED display installations.
  • Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals relevant to AV-over-IP and managed AV systems.
  • Experience using a PSA or ticketing platform (e.g. ConnectWise, ServiceNow) for job management.
  • Relevant AV or IT certifications (e.g. CTS, Dante Certification, manufacturer accreditations).
