Management Accountant to join our finance team at an exciting time for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of key month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.
  • Supporting the development and improvement of business processes and financial controls.
  • Assisting with statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, audit preparation, and compliance reporting.
  • Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, including ownership of budgets for specific business areas.
  • Producing and reviewing company, departmental, and regional profit & loss reports.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis and providing insightful commentary to budget holders and senior management.
  • Building strong relationships with operational teams, sales colleagues, and stakeholders across the business.
  • Supporting acquisition integration activities and finance transformation projects.
  • Preparing financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Working closely with the analyst team to understand key business performance drivers.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or finalist.
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Strong management and financial reporting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and financial modelling.
  • Experience working with and presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.

Desirable

  • Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting sales teams or commercial functions.
  • Previous involvement in process improvement or change management projects.
