About this role
As a Senior Business Analyst within the Content Analytics team at Audible, you will serve as an analytical leader and trusted thought partner for our senior Content leadership team, as well as the primary analytics conduit for European Content teams.
- Proactively identify complex or ambiguous business problems and serve as a thought partner to senior Content leadership—anticipating questions, designing long‑term analytics solutions, and developing analyses and visualizations that address emerging business needs before they are raised.
- Design and own end‑to‑end reporting processes that track KPIs, support business reviews, and enable self‑serve data access—ensuring speed, reliability, and scalability; break down high‑level metrics into constituent components and leading indicators that generate actionable insights and recommendations for MBR/QBR/HBR cycles.
- Develop concise, impactful narratives and visualizations—including MBR/QBR documents and 6‑pagers—that communicate complex trends, root‑cause analyses, and strategic recommendations to executive audiences; automate the identification of key dimensions driving metric variance to enable faster, more consistent analysis.
- Apply deep content domain expertise—spanning production, distribution, and audience engagement—alongside awareness of micro and macro industry trends in books and digital media, to ensure analytics solutions are grounded in real business context.
- Serve as the analytics conduit for European Content teams, facilitating analyses and surfacing insights that connect regional performance to Global team strategy.
- Partner cross‑functionally with data scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, product managers, and business leaders to align analytical solutions with strategic objectives; own the effective communication of metrics and analyses across your organization, and identify when to bring in technical partners to unlock new insights.
- Drive operational excellence and data governance by improving, streamlining, and/or eliminating excess processes; work with data owners to onboard new sources, guarantee data fidelity, and ensure consistency in metric definitions, documentation standards, and data quality.
- Mentor and develop peers within your organization, modeling analytical best practices in design, delivery, and long‑term scalability; develop clear documentation that enables both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to understand and replicate reporting methodologies.
About you
- You are an analytical leader who balances technical expertise with deep business acumen, particularly within the world of content.
- You excel at working cross‑functionally, translating complex business challenges into robust analytical frameworks and long‑term solutions.
- You are naturally curious, with a talent for looking beyond immediate data requests to identify the underlying strategic questions driving our Content business forward.
- You thrive in ambiguous situations, delivering independently with strong judgment while continuously raising the bar on data processes and analytical best practices.
- Your exceptional communication skills enable you to distill complex analyses into compelling, influential narratives for both technical and executive audiences, building trust‑based relationships with stakeholders that influence business strategy and decision‑making across the organization.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred).
- Experience in a data‑driven analytical role.
- Experience delivering complex, end‑to‑end analytics solutions independently in ambiguous spaces, with a track record of generating recommendations that influenced organizational strategy.
