The Brand & Content Marketing team serves as the strategic architects building meaningful audience experiences that inspire brand consideration and love. The Director, Brand & Content Marketing UK will lead the content marketing strategy for the UK, growing membership through customer acquisition and member engagement. The role owns the strategy for Audible Originals, Exclusives, and third‑party titles, co‑creating paid media campaigns while owning organic and social channels to grow and engage the community. It will also support the Senior Director, B&CM Europe/AU/UK and partner with global marketing teams to launch titles across multiple marketplaces.

The team is guided by four core values: Storytellers, Globally‑Minded, AI‑Forward, and Data‑Driven. It builds meaningful connections through compelling narratives and brand activations and measures success through tangible outcomes.

You are a content marketing leader with deep experience in entertainment providers/services, skilled at crafting effective campaigns with media, merchandising, acquisition, and creative teams. You grow engaged audiences organically through social‑first strategies, experiential activations, and culturally relevant moments, and you bring a relentless focus on efficiency by using data to optimise spend across paid and organic channels. You reject one‑size‑fits‑all thinking, developing title‑specific, digital‑first strategies that reflect unique audience and talent dynamics. Your skills include using high‑profile talent, mentoring high‑performing teams, stakeholder management at executive level, navigating matrixed organisations, and building cross‑functional relationships across marketing, content, creative, paid media, and analytics.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead content marketing strategy and support execution for Audible Originals, Exclusives, and strategic IPs in the UK.
  • Partner with Creative and Media teams on large‑scale campaigns while building organic muscle through social media, experiential marketing, and earned channels.
  • Develop bespoke, title‑specific marketing strategies tailored to each title’s audience, genre, and talent dynamics.
  • Advocate and champion AI‑first approaches across creative development, measurement, and social media experimentation.
  • Identify and develop strategies to reach new customer cohorts, expanding Audible’s addressable audience.
  • Guide innovative creative work across cover art, key art, and campaign assets, providing strategic direction on featuring talent in visual and video creatives.
  • Work closely with Content and PR teams to maximise marketing impact from high‑profile talent, developing efficient shoot frameworks, asset capture strategies, and campaign playbooks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content marketers, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive efficiency through rigorous data analysis, monitor campaign KPIs obsessively, and use data‑led insights to continuously optimise marketing strategies.
  • Present and represent marketing plans to senior leaders (C‑Suite) and collaborate cross‑functionally with Content, Creative, PR, Media, Acquisition, and Measurement teams.
  • Lead and support strategic brand partnerships and collaborations on social media and through culturally relevant activations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and managing a high‑performing team.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including influencing executive‑level global leaders.
  • Experience in content marketing (with the UK marketplace of focus) and a significant portion in entertainment services.
  • Experience with A‑list talent is a must.
  • Experience managing a large budget with accountability for ROI.
  • Experience managing multiple agencies and external partners.
