ABOUT THIS ROLE

Based in London, Audible is seeking a Manager, Catalog Operations , who will work to maintain and grow the Audible catalogue through handling, management, and transfer of digital audio, metadata, and image files from receipt to publication. This role involves the accurate creation and editing of product metadata including core metadata, table of contents, series, and affiliations relationships. Reporting to the Director, Catalog Operations for UK and Europe, this role collaborates globally with teams in Germany, the US, and APAC. The ideal candidate is an energetic and creative troubleshooter and self-starter, adept at refining processes and learning new tools.

ABOUT YOU

You’re an avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), blogs, podcasts, and other digital content. You’re a self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills, highly detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment. You have a proven track record as an accomplished project manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and standardizing repeatable processes for metadata management, identifying opportunities for workflow automation
  • Partnering with technical and non-technical teams to support initiatives that enhance catalog quality
  • Ensuring Audible’s content policy is correctly applied across the catalog
  • Receiving and verifying audio files, images, and metadata from providers with high accuracy
  • Analyzing data using SQL, Quicksight, or similar tools to identify trends and generate reports on catalog health and operations
  • Defining program requirements and managing projects for catalog enhancements, including developing timelines and tracking deliverables
  • Communicating process changes and developing training materials for new procedures
  • Coordinating rush schedules to ensure timely publication of titles
  • Processing and creating trouble tickets for metadata change requests
  • Indexing, copyediting product metadata, creating new product records, and supporting ad-hoc catalog projects
  • Prioritizing, fact-checking, and organizing Table of Contents data in line with Audible style guides for new releases, back catalog, and special projects
  • Fact-checking and curating Audible series pages for online display, based on internal standards and customer feedback
