Our Team Since the 2026 season, Audi has been competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in the UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history. This position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany). In the field of high-voltage battery and high-voltage electronics development, you will work on key components of high-performance electric powertrains and contribute to our competitiveness in a highly competitive environment. You will be responsible for joining technologies within the manufacturing of traction batteries and will ensure their consistent quality to guarantee successful deployment in high-performance motorsport applications. In addition, you will support the production of HV batteries in close coordination with manufacturing.

Your Mission:

  • Defining and developing joining technologies, with a particular focus on various types of welded joints
  • Contributing to and further developing joining technologies in the electronics sector (soldering, bonding, metal welding)
  • Process definition, execution and monitoring of cell welding for HV batteries
  • Ensuring a stable and reproducible manufacturing process for HV batteries
  • Supporting material analyses alongside production and development, in collaboration with quality assurance, to validate and ensure production quality
  • Supporting pre-development work in the ERS sector regarding joining technologies
  • Further development of HV battery production
  • Analysis and definition of production processes within HV batteries in coordination with development and manufacturing
  • Close collaboration with cell development, HV electronics, manufacturing & testing

Your Profile:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Engineering or a comparable discipline
  • Several years’ experience in the field of high-voltage (HV) batteries, HV electronics or joining technology (laser welding, plasma treatment, automated manufacturing, battery production)
  • Experience in operating laser welding systems and metallic joining processes in an HV environment
  • Knowledge of materials testing, metallurgical analysis and process validation
  • Training as a qualified electrician (EFK) and experience of working with high-voltage systems is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of CATIA V5 is desirable
  • Independent, structured approach to work, high motivation and strong team spirit
  • Willingness to work flexibly and in a solution-oriented manner within a highly dynamic motorsport environment
  • You have business fluency in German or English and are willing to learn basic knowledge of the other language
