Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany). In the field of quality assurance, you will work on the key component of the combustion engine with a focus on hydraulics, cooling systems, and the intake tract, contributing to competitiveness in a highly competitive environment. You will accompany the parts throughout their entire lifecycle.

As part of the QA component responsibility team, you will ensure the required component quality and be involved in dynamic and complex failure analyses in the context of the F1 hybrid power unit system.

Your Mission:

  • Contributing and representing all quality-relevant aspects during the design phase in collaboration with engineering.
  • Selecting suitable suppliers in cooperation with Purchasing and Engineering, including supplier qualification.
  • Defining appropriate measurement and testing methods for component inspection.
  • Performing, evaluating, approving, and documenting component tests.
  • Handling complaints with external suppliers.
  • Conducting component analyses and participating in the failure analysis and problem-solving process.
  • Creating acceptance criteria, test instructions, and incorporating lessons learned.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • In-depth knowledge of combustion engines, hydraulics, oil circuits, and cooling systems.
  • Ideally, experience with composite materials (carbon).
  • Holistic and analytical mindset combined with strong system-level understanding of combustion engines and engine peripherals.
  • Experience in quality assurance and in working with external suppliers.
  • Solid IT skills (MS Office, SAP).
  • Assertiveness, high motivation, and strong initiative as part of a small team with direct communication and a high level of personal responsibility.
  • Good command of English and experience collaborating with internationally operating suppliers.
  • Several years of professional experience in the automotive or motorsport sector.
