About Us

We are a small, specialist private clinic providing ADHD and Autism assessments for adults, delivered in line with NICE guidelines. As we prepare for registration with Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), we are seeking a clinically qualified professional to act as our Clinic Manager and Registered Manager. This is a stable, part-time role ideal for an experienced clinician looking to supplement other work with a consistent leadership and governance position. All clinical and administrative SOPs are already written; we now require a manager primarily to oversee compliance and act as our Registered Manager for HIS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory & Compliance (Registered Manager Duties)
    • Act as the nominated Registered Manager with Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
    • Ensure the clinic remains compliant with HIS standards, policies, and inspection requirements.
    • Review, approve, and maintain clinic policies (safeguarding, governance, complaints, consent, incident reporting).
    • Lead inspection readiness and serve as the primary contact for HIS.
    • Oversee governance logs (complaints, incidents, safeguarding) and ensure all actions are recorded and reviewed.
  • Clinic Oversight
    • Provide light-touch management of administrative and clinical operations.
    • Ensure clinical documentation, insurance, and registration files remain up to date.
    • Participate in governance meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.
    • Support compliance audits, risk management, and client feedback reviews.
  • Clinical Service Delivery (if applicable)
    • Conduct ADHD and/or Autism assessments in line with NICE guidelines.
    • If a Nurse Prescriber: deliver initial medication appointments and follow-up reviews.
    • If a Clinical Psychologist: contribute to assessment and diagnostic oversight.
    • Provide input into clinical governance and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

  • Current professional registration (NMC for Nurse Prescriber / HCPC for Clinical Psychologist).
  • Experience in ADHD/Autism assessment and/or prescribing.
  • Previous leadership or governance experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (HIS or CQC equivalent).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable balancing clinical and compliance responsibilities in a small team.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in independent or private healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of neurodevelopmental and mental health services.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with high attention to regulatory detail.

What We Offer

  • A stable, part-time role with flexibility around existing commitments.
  • Opportunity to lead HIS registration and compliance within an established clinic.
  • Comprehensive SOPs and governance systems already in place.
