Role Description: We are seeking an Analytical Chemist for a 3-month contract to support method development, sample analysis and data interpretation across R&D projects. The role requires strong practical laboratory skills, rigorous analytical thinking and the ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role located in FutureSpace Bristol. The Analytical Chemist will conduct laboratory experiments, perform quality control assessments and utilize various laboratory equipment for testing and analysis. The role involves developing methodologies, supporting ongoing R&D projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Nationality and residency requirements: UK or EU Nationals with 5 years residency in the UK.

Salary range: £45,000-£55,000 pro-rata

Contract timeframe: ASAP until 28th August 2026

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and handling Laboratory Equipment
  • Strong Analytical Skills for data interpretation and problem-solving
  • Experience in Quality Control processes and adherence to high standards
  • Knowledge and experience in Research and Development (R&D) activities
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience in the defence or technology sector is a plus
