We are excited to announce that Audaglass are expanding our team with a new opportunity for a Desktop Motor Engineer and Estimator. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for vehicle assessments, this could be the perfect role for you!

Overview

Position: Desktop Motor Engineer and Estimator

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Perform desktop assessments by reviewing photographs and documentation to estimate vehicle damage and repair needs.
  • Provide clear and concise reports detailing findings, necessary repairs, and associated costs.
  • Engage with customers/clients to explain assessment results and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with repair teams to ensure seamless communication regarding assessments and repairs.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and keep accurate records of assessments conducted.

What You\’ll Need

  • Proven hands-on experience with vehicle repairs and body damage assessment, ideally within insurance, bodyshop or accident management.
  • Confidence in reviewing engineering reports, assessing repair methods, and evaluating costs.
  • Familiarity with tools like E-scribe Glass’s Guide, Audatex, and GT Motive.
  • Strong understanding of roadworthy and unroadworthy vehicle requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written skills.
  • ATA VDA certification and current AQP qualification are desirable but not essential.
