Location: Aston, Birmingham (office-based with regular site visits)

Contract: Apprenticeship – Permanent Role with Development Pathway

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Auctus Management Group (AMG) is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as an HSQE & Sustainability Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop a career in Health, Safety, Quality, Environment and Sustainability within the rail and construction sectors. You will gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification, supported by experienced professionals in a safety‑first, forward‑thinking organisation.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the HSQE team in maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards
  • Assist with preparing safety briefings, toolbox talks and sustainability communications
  • Contribute to tender submissions and bid documentation
  • Help monitor safety performance data and close call reporting systems
  • Support sustainability initiatives across the business
  • Attend site visits to understand operational delivery and compliance in practice

What you need:

Essential:

  • Currently working or studying within the construction sector and can demonstrate an interest or experience with sustainability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365
  • Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (held for 12+ months, maximum 6 points)
  • Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE grade 4/C or above, or willingness to achieve before completing apprenticeship)

Desirable:

  • Interest in sustainability, environmental management or HSQE
  • Experience or awareness of the rail, construction or infrastructure sectors
  • Previous administrative or project support experience
  • Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician qualification
