RSS Infrastructure are looking for 4 experienced Utility Arborists to work as part of two teams of two, delivering vegetation management services on the UK Power Networks (UKPN) contract in the Kings Lynn and wider East Anglia region. We offer competitive pay, performance bonuses, and full provision of equipment, vehicles, and PPE. Ideal candidates will be qualified, safety-conscious, and experienced in utility arboriculture.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Climbing trees to perform removal operations using safe and efficient techniques.
- Operating and maintaining arboriculture equipment, such as climbing equipment, hand held tools, small plant & machinery to comply with PUWER & LOLER regulations.
- Safely removing hazardous limbs and trees, ensuring the safety of team members and clients.
- Crown lifting, Crown reducing, and Crown dismantling and other aerial operations.
- Consider occupational and environmental risks to members of the workforce and the public.
- Maintain a healthy working relationship with Principal Contractors and/or Contractors, obtaining future work plans to assist growth.
- Solid understanding of current Health & Safety Regulations.
- Operate hand held equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with current regulations.
- Perform tree removal and vegetation clearance tasks.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of working in and around machinery and active work sites.
- Follow project plans and safety guidelines stated within RAMS & POWRA.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent understanding of tree identification & characteristics.
- Work with industry best practices and deliver excellent standards of work.
- Ensuring to assist Site Supervisor and colleagues.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience working near power lines or within utility arboriculture.
- Comfortable working in a small team and following health & safety procedures.
- Holds all required tickets and refresher training within the last 5 years.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
