RSS Infrastructure are recruiting experienced PTS Rail Welders with Sentinel welding competencies (MMA 1-5 & FCAW 1-2) to support rail infrastructure projects across the South East. Working within a Network Rail framework, you will join a highly skilled team delivering rail welding works on the UK rail network. This role offers stable permanent employment, guaranteed hours, and excellent opportunities for career progression within a leading rail infrastructure contractor.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out Manual Metal Arc (MMA) rail welding on the UK rail infrastructure
  • Undertake FCAW welding activities in accordance with rail industry standards
  • Work safely on or near the line following Network Rail safe systems of work
  • Operate as part of a 2–4 person rail welding team delivering infrastructure works
  • Maintain compliance with Sentinel competencies and rail safety requirements
  • Use rail cutting and preparation equipment, including Robel 13:49 rail saw, where required

What you need:

Essential:

  • Sentinel Personal Track Safety (PTS)
  • Valid Sentinel welding competencies: MMA 1-5
  • Valid Sentinel welding competencies: FCAW 1-2
  • Experience working on UK rail infrastructure
  • Experience working within Network Rail frameworks
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience operating Robel 13:49 rail saw
  • Additional rail welding or track competencies
