We are currently recruiting for a Senior Rail Site Engineer for an important major Civils client of ours for a Civils light rail project in the West Midlands.
We ideally need someone with an in-date PTS (Sentinel) Card and with rail background and experience in track renewals, stressing, setting out for track, ballasts and tamping experience. We need someone ideally with track monitoring experience in SNT & slab track experience. (This can be taught however as long as you have basic track geometry).
Candidates will need to have Microsoft Office Word and Excel experience (to record site inspections).
Candidates applying must also have an appropriate degree qualification in Construction or Rail / Civil Engineering.
Candidates must have a good attitude and good time keeping (someone who will fit into the Civils/Rail team well).
If candidates do not have a current in date PTS, other arrangements can be made depending on your previous experience and background in rail.
Candidates must be competent and able to use the Trimble kit with GPS and SPS930.
The following is also desirable if candidates have any of the below:
- Some form of Highways experience, i.e. kerbs and drainage.
- CSCS card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Handback ticket (nice to have)
The site hours are: 07:30am - 17:30pm.
Candidates will be required to attend an interview (either on Teams or face-to-face).
